How to Add, Duplicate, Delete & Configure Slides in Slider Revolution 7

Slide management in Slider Revolution 7 (SR7) is handled via the dedicated Slides Sidebar found in the editor’s top toolbar. From here, you can add new slides, rename, clone, reorder, preview, and configure advanced per-slide settings like durations, scheduling, and multilingual options.

This comprehensive guide replaces the outdated SR6 dropdown workflow and walks you through the modern SR7 interface.

Part 1: The Slides Sidebar & Core Slide Actions

To open slide management:

  1. In the SR7 editor's top toolbar, click the Slides icon (the icon with multiple slides, located between Settings and Timeline).
  2. The Slides Sidebar will slide open on the left.

Each slide row provides quick, direct-action icons:

The 5 Core Slide Controls:

  • [1] Rename Slide:

Click directly on the slide title text (e.g., slide 1) to rename it inline (e.g., “Hero Promo”, “Summer Clearance”, or “New Arrivals”).

  • [2] Duplicate Slide (📋):

Click the copy icon to create an exact 1:1 duplicate of the slide. It copies all layers, background media, animations, actions, and responsive styling.

  • [3] Delete Slide (🗑️):

Click the trashcan icon to delete the slide and its layers from the module. (If deleted by mistake, press Cmd + Z / Ctrl + Z to undo).

  • [4] Preview Slide (🔍):

Click the magnifying glass icon to preview only that specific slide on the canvas, rather than running through the full multi-slide presentation.

  • [5] Slide Settings (⚙️):

Click the gear icon to open the slide's comprehensive configuration drawer on the right.

Additional Controls:

  • ➕ Add Slide(s):

Click the blue + Add Slide(s) button at the bottom of the sidebar to append a brand-new blank slide.

  • 📌 Static Slide:

Located at the very top of the list. Any layer placed on the Static Slide remains visible across all regular slides throughout the slideshow (ideal for persistent logos, floating discount badges, or sticky announcement bars).

  • Reorder Slides (⋮⋮):

Click and hold the up/down arrows or handle on the left edge of any slide row to drag it up or down. The slide at position #1 is always the first slide that loads on your Shopify storefront.

Part 2: Slide Settings Tabs (The Gear Icon)

Clicking the gear icon (⚙️) on any slide opens the detailed slide configuration panel.

1. Thumbnail Tab

Controls the preview graphics associated with this slide.

Slide Settings Thumbnail Tab

  • Admin Thumbnail: The preview image displayed in your editor’s slide list for easy visual identification.
  • Navigation Thumbnail: The image displayed if your module uses thumbnail navigation bars, tab bars, or carousel trays on your storefront.
  • Navigation Preview: Preview the auto-scaled thumbnail dimensions (e.g., 267 × 150 px).

2. Progress Tab (Duration & Visibility)

Determines how long this slide plays and where it appears.

Slide Settings Progress Tab

  • Slide Duration: Specify the exact time in milliseconds the slide remains on screen before auto-advancing (e.g., 9000 = 9 seconds).
  • Pause Module: Toggle this ON if you want the slideshow to stop auto-rotating once it reaches this slide.
  • Hide from Navigation: Hides this slide’s bullet/dot from the navigation menu while still allowing it to play in the sequence.
  • Hide on Mobile: Automatically skips this slide on smartphone screens (useful for resource-heavy 3D/video slides).
  • Hide After "n" Loops: Automatically hides the slide after the module has looped a specified number of times.

3. Scheduling Tab (Automated Launch & Expiration)

Allows you to schedule promotional slides without needing to manually edit your theme on holidays or weekends.

Slide Settings Scheduling Tab

  • Publish Status: Switch between Published and Draft.
  • Schedule Toggle: Switch to ON to define automated visibility windows:
  • From: The exact date and time the slide becomes visible.
  • To: The exact date and time the slide automatically unpublishes (perfect for limited-time flash sales or Black Friday promotions).

4. Parameters Tab (Internal Notes & Placeholders)

Used for internal team documentation and dynamic token variables.

Slide Settings Parameters Tab

  • Description: Add internal slide notes (e.g., designer notes, campaign details) that help team members understand what this slide is for.
  • Parameters: Add custom key/value parameters for advanced developer workflows.

5. Attributes Tab (IDs, Classes & Deep Linking)

Provides HTML anchors and deep links for targeted visitor navigation.

Slide Settings Attributes Tab

  • HTML ID & Class: Assign a custom CSS ID or class name to target this specific slide with theme stylesheets.
  • HTML Data: Attach custom data-* attributes for tracking or analytics scripts.
  • DeepLink ID: Assign a unique URL hash (e.g., special-offer). Visitors following a link containing #special-offer will automatically jump straight to this slide upon arrival!

6. Accessibility Tab (WCAG Compliance)

Allows configuring screen reader support and accessibility options for inclusive shopping.

Slide Settings Accessibility Tab

  • Click Module Accessibility Settings to configure global ARIA labels, keyboard focus indicators, and screen reader announcements.

7. Multilang Tab (Multilingual Storefront Slides)

If your Shopify store serves multiple languages (e.g., English, French, Spanish, German), you can assign individual slides to display only for specific storefront languages.

Slide Settings Multilang Tab

  • Slide Language: Select which language this slide belongs to (e.g., Default, English, Français, Español).

[!IMPORTANT]
Required Prerequisite to Enable Multilingual Slides:
For the Slide Language selector to function, you must first enable the multilingual engine in your module settings:

Enable Multilang in Module Settings

  1. In the top navigation bar, click Settings (⚙️) (step 1).
  2. In the left panel, click Module Configuration (step 2).
  3. Switch to the Advanced tab (step 3).
  4. Under HTML SETTINGS, toggle "Use Multilang Settings" to ON (step 4).

Once this toggle is enabled, Slider Revolution will automatically detect your visitor's active Shopify store language and serve the corresponding translated slide!
