How to Add and Edit Text in Slider Revolution 7
Text layers let you add headings, descriptions, promotional messages, and other text to your slider.
In this guide, you'll learn how to add a text layer, edit the content, customize its appearance, and position it on your slide.
Step 1: Open Your Slider
From your Shopify admin, open Slider Revolution.
Find the slider you want to edit and open it in the Slider Revolution 7 editor.
Step 2: Add a Text Layer
In the editor, select Add Layer and choose Text.
A new text layer will appear on your slide.
Step 3: Enter Your Text
Select the text layer you just added.
Replace the default text with the content you want to display.
You can use text layers for headings, descriptions, promotional messages, prices, and other content.
Step 4: Customize the Text Style
With the text layer selected, open the text styling settings.
Here you can customize options such as:
- Font family
- Font size
- Font weight
- Text color
- Line height
- Letter spacing
- Text alignment
Adjust these settings until the text matches your slider design.
Tip: Make sure your text has enough contrast with the background so customers can easily read it.
Step 5: Position the Text
Select the text layer on the canvas and move it to where you want it to appear.
You can also use the positioning settings for more precise placement.
Step 6: Check the Text on Different Devices
Use the responsive/device controls in the editor to check how your text appears on different screen sizes.
If necessary, adjust the text size or position for smaller screens.
This helps keep your slider readable on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Step 7: Save and Preview Your Slider
When you're happy with your changes, click Draft.
Then use Preview to check how your text looks before publishing the slider.
Then Finally publish the changes on your store front by clicking the Save & Publish button,
That's it! You've successfully added and customized a text layer in Slider Revolution 7.
Tip: For homepage banners and hero sliders, keep your message short and easy to understand. A clear headline with a short supporting message usually works best.
