How to Configure a Dynamic Product Carousel in Slider Revolution 7 (Shopify Collections)

This guide walks you through building an automated, high-converting product carousel in Slider Revolution 7 (SR7). You will learn how to install a dynamic product carousel template, customize layers and call-to-action buttons in the visual editor, and stream live products directly from your Shopify Collections using the dedicated Dynamic Product Slider app block.

Step 1: Open the Template Library

  1. In your Shopify Admin, navigate to Apps > Slider Revolution.
  2. From the top navigation bar, click Templates (or select Template Library from the left navigation).

Click on Templates

Step 2: Filter by "Dynamic Content"

In the left sidebar under Categories, click Dynamic Content. This filters the template library to modules that natively support automated data streams (products, collections, posts, and feeds).

Step 3: Install the Template

  • Locate any dynamic product carousel package. Hover over the card and click the **+ (folder/package)** icon in the bottom right corner to view the included modules
  • A template overview panel will slide out on the right showing the module requirements and details. Click the Install Template button.

Click Install Template

Part 2: Open & Customize in the Visual Editor

Step 4: Open the Module from "Your Modules"

Once installed, return to the Modules dashboard. Under Your Modules, locate the newly imported Woo Carousel One card and click it to launch the Slider Revolution 7 visual editor.

Open Installed Carousel Module

Step 5: Review the Dynamic Canvas & Placeholder Elements

When the visual editor opens, you will see sample placeholder data on the canvas (e.g., My Awesome Post, $80, {{star\_rating}}, and Add to cart).

How Dynamic Binding Works:
These placeholder text strings and images act as visual stand-ins while designing. When rendered on your live storefront, Slider Revolution automatically replaces them with real product titles, images, inventory, reviews, and prices pulled straight from your Shopify collection.

Part 3: Save, Publish & Copy Your Shortcode

Step 6: Save Your Changes

In the top header toolbar, click the Save button (it will indicate Saved once all changes are saved to the cloud).

Step 7: Publish the Module

In the top toolbar, click the Publish button (the upward upload arrow icon) to generate the production-ready code.

Step 8: Copy the Slider Shortcode

The Slider published dialog will appear. Click the Copy shortcode button to copy the module identifier (e.g., woocommerce-slider) to your clipboard.

Step 9: Open the Shopify Theme Customizer

In the same modal, click Add block in Theme Editor. This opens your active theme inside the Shopify Theme Customizer in a new tab.

Click Add Block in Theme Editor

Step 10: Add the "Dynamic Product Slider" App Block

  1. In the Shopify Theme Customizer sidebar, scroll to the section where you want your carousel to appear (e.g., between the Header and main template, or in a dedicated Apps section).
  2. Click Add block (or Add section).
  3. In the Apps menu, select Dynamic Product Slider (by Slider Revolution).

[!IMPORTANT]
Choose the Right App Block:
For regular banners, you use the General Slider app block. But for product collections, always select Dynamic Product Slider — this specialized block includes the collection picker and Shopify product loop engine!

Select Dynamic Product Slider App Block

Step 11: Paste Your Slider Shortcode

In the Dynamic Product Slider settings panel on the left:

  1. Click into the Product Slider Shortcode input field.
  2. Paste the shortcode you copied in Step 12 (e.g., woocommerce-slider).

Step 12: Click "Select" to Choose a Collection

Directly below the shortcode field, find the Collection setting and click the Select button.

Step 13: Choose Your Target Product Collection

The Shopify collection picker drawer will open. Select the collection whose products you want to feature in the carousel (e.g., Automated Collection, Best Sellers, Featured Drops, etc.) and click Select.

Choose Shopify Collection

Step 14: Preview Real Products & Save Your Theme

The Theme Customizer preview will immediately render your live product carousel. Notice how the placeholder items have been replaced with real products from your selected Shopify collection—featuring actual product photography, dynamic prices (e.g., $729.95, $629.95, $600.00), star reviews, and functioning "Buy Now" buttons.

Click the Save button in the top right corner of the Shopify Theme Customizer to publish your product carousel live to your store!

Automatically filters out out-of-stock items so customers only see available inventory.

Description Length

100 – 150 characters

Truncates product descriptions so all cards maintain identical, uniform heights.

Responsive Toggles

Allows hiding the carousel specifically on Desktop, Tablet, or Mobile if desired.

Pro Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Check the App Embed: In the Theme Customizer, click the App embeds tab in the far-left vertical menu and confirm the Slider Revolution toggle is turned ON.
  • Verify Collection Products: Make sure your selected collection contains at least 2 published products with active status.
  • Match Shortcodes Exactly: Ensure there are no extra spaces when pasting the shortcode into the theme block settings.

2. Multi-Currency & Pricing Display

Slider Revolution automatically inherits your Shopify store’s currency configuration ($, €, £, ¥) and formatting rules. If a product has a compare-at price, both the regular price and sale price will be displayed dynamically.

3. Mobile Touch Gestures

The product carousel includes built-in touch swipe acceleration for iOS and Android devices, allowing shoppers to flick smoothly through your products on mobile phones and tablets.
